Q. Is it really legal to smoke these anywhere I want?
A.
Yes. Because the electronic cigarette is battery operated, contains no tobacco and does not generate any real smoke whatsoever, nor flame, it is safe and legal to use virtually anywhere. It is not subject to fire codes, secondhand smoke laws or smoking prohibitions of any kind. You can even smoke this device on an airplane if you choose. For example, Ryanair now sell electronic cigarettes on their flights. However, out of courtesy it is always advisable to ask the owner of the premises or mode of transport you are in if they are happy for you to do so.
Q. How does the electronic cigarette work?
A. A tiny vapouriser inside the electronic cigarette turns liquid nicotine into nicotine vapour which is then inhaled by the user. A small light glows faintly to simulate a real cigarette. The vapour also looks very convincingly like real smoke but doesn't smell or cling to your clothes.
Q. Does the vapour smell?
A. The vapour looks like smoke when it is exhaled, but it does not smell.
Q. How long does one refill cartridge last?
A. Each nicotine cartridge for the e-cigarette is equivalent to about 15 normal cigarettes. Although if the electronic cigarette is not used for some time the nicotine cartridge can dry out over time.
Q. How will I know when a nicotine cartridge needs to be replaced?
A. When you inhale and no vapour comes out then the cartridge is empty.
Q. What are the various strengths in the nicotine cartridges?
A. The cartridges come in 4 nicotine strength; high, medium, low and zero. The nicotine content of each are as follows:
High = 16mg
Medium = 11mg
Low = 6mg
Zero = no nicotine at all, just vapour
Q. What is propylene glycol and is it safe?
A. Propylene glycol is an organic compound that is both colorless and odorless. It has been rated as GRAS (generally recognized as safe) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America for use in food, cosmetics, and medicines. It is absorbed and metabolized by your body therefore, does not stick to your lungs like tar.
Q. Do you need to turn on the electronic cigarette?
A. No. You need only inhale for the electronic cigarette to automatically activate. There is no on or off switch.
Q. How long does a battery last?
A. The battery life does vary greatly depending on how much you use your electronic cigarette. On average, it should last for about 3 days under normal use between charges. The electronic cigarette comes with a charger and it normally only takes 2 hours to recharge the battery.
Q. Is there a warranty?
A. The electronic cigarette comes with a one month warranty. Purchasers should be aware that Atomisers and Rechargable Batteries, are made to the highest quality but are functional devices in constant use that may fail or degrade over a period of time. Customers usually purchase spare Atomisers and Batteries when purchasing our electronic cigarette kits.

Warning: Keep cartridges and fluid out of reach from children. Nicotine in its pure form is a poison, and can cause harm. All nicotine cartridges and fluid must be kept in a safe place and away from children, as the amount of nicotine in a cartridge, if ingested by a small child could cause serious harm and medical assistance should be sought. |

It is worth noting that, despite the description, electronic cigarettes cannot be marketed as a Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) in the UK. This requires official testing to prove that this is indeed the case before a license can be granted for it to promoted in this way. This testing has not taken place on electronic cigarettes and it is therefore an offence ‘to sell, supply or advertise a Nicotine Replacement Product which does not have a product licence’. For more details on NRT click here. |
